In an Anatolian town, a relentless fire engulfs a chemical factory, impacting Esma's family. Esma (10), a diligent student, lives with her father Mehmet, grandmother, and twin brothers. After losing his job, Mehmet sells cheese to make ends meet. With Eyüp (14) suffering from nosebleeds and fainting spells, Esma shoulders many responsibilities. As the fire's effects worsen, their animals fall sick and die, leading to financial ruin. Mehmet, unable to replace their old truck, decides Esma must quit school to care for the family.
